However, century may have passed since the incident took place, but its story still remains in heart and minds of people like an everlasting memory. It has also inspired numerous books and several notable films which gave good break to the author and the film-maker respectively.

YES, China has already started to build the same gorgeous ocean liner. The construction of luxurious steamship with 880-Foot replica began in Suining, China on November 30, as per People’s Daily reports. It’s been obvious that the replica is going to attract tourist soon after project completion. Meanwhile, it enables them to experience simulated collision of the Titanic with iceberg which sank more than a century ago, via high tech simulation which includes light and sound effects.
The ship measures about 882 feet in length and 92 feet in width similar to that of the original one. The making costs of around $145 Million U.S. Dollars is funded by Sichuan Seven Star Energy Investment Group. In addition to that, approximately 50,000 tonnes of steel will be used to construct the replica.
Hollywood production designer and producer Curtis Schnell said
We are not building every room in the ship, by any means, but the shell of the ship and the exteriors will be quite accurate, there will be interior rooms to be able to tour and see from the standpoint of historical accuracy
Developers are trying their best to reproduce exactly the similar features as that of the original Titanic. The ship would comprise a Guest Room, Ballroom, Theater and Swimming pool . In addition to that, the food menu will be retained as that of the Titanic’s maiden voyage in 1912 . The guest can dine and stay overnight in ship alike in original. The cost per night will be around 3000 Yuan (£315 or approximate INR 30,000) per night for cabin to enjoy the luxuriousness of the ship. However, they can’t travel from one place to other in the ship. In the sense, the ship will not be sent out into open sea; instead it will be docked in a reservoir in Sichuan’s Daying county.
And finally, the project is expected to be completed within a year, by the end of 2017.
