India’s most successful captain go site Mahendra Singh Dhoni has stepped down as captain of India’s one-day and T20 Internationals. However, he will still be available for selection as a wicket-keeper batsman for upcoming series as per the BCCI reports.

THE CAPTAIN COOL

Dhoni, who is often called as captain cool had retired from Test Cricket earlier in December 2014. In fact, he holds the record of playing most matches as a captain of an international side, with 331 matches across all formats. He is also the only player to captain more than 50 matches in all three formats.

THE REMARKABLE FEAT

MS Dhoni has led India to bag the buy canadian Levetiracetam ICC World T20 title in 2007, the World Cup victory in 2011 and Champions Trophy in 2013. Moreover, he is the only captain to win all three ICC Trophies.

As a matter of fact, Dhoni will be remembered as the greatest ODI captain ever in cricket history.
